#Linux is an advance piece of technology that in order to appreciate it we need to understand it well. It bugs me when I see average users, comparing "Linux" (air quote) with MacOS or Windows when they actually are comparing their desktop env with those others. when it comes to the kernel itself #Linux is in a different level.
Mostly differentiation is implicitly inferred as Linux ecosystem (Linux and softwares around it) or Windows ecosystem (Windows and softwares around it).
@ebi I know what you mean. That's true in many cases and in many other cases users see them as a monolith thing. Thinking if desktop env Y sucks so Linux sucks as well which obviously an incorrect logic.
I think it's easy to produce incorrect comparison as I see frequently these days.
